Community Outreach
Community Outreach was established in 1984 in the basement of a local church. Their mission is to meet the needs of economically disadvantaged families, the homeless, and/or elderly persons of Vernon County Missouri.
LifeWalk partners with Community Outreach to provide both relief and development efforts in our community to battle against hunger, homelessness, and poverty.
Birthright
Birthright offers love, friendship, and support to women who are experiencing unplanned pregnancy. Their focus is on loving the mother, reminding her that there is hope and ensuring she is not alone. They help with information and resources for pregnancy, childbirth, adoption, prenatal care, child care, community programs, and parenting skills.
Each Spring, LifeWalk participates in Birthright’s Baby Bottle fundraiser to aid them in their mission. To find out how else you can help, call the local Birthright office at (417) 448-1771 or visit their office at 330 North Main Street in Nevada.
H.E.L.P. - Uganda
Since 2009, H.E.L.P. - Uganda has been cultivating a movement to break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and hunger for the present and future generations of Masese, Uganda. We believe sustainable growth must be locally-led, so we create campaigns to help support community development through education, healthcare, economic renewal, business, makerspaces, and spiritual growth.
LifeWalk partners with H.E.L.P - Uganda by sponsoring 2 teachers at the H.E.L.P. Primary School. Our prayer is that by blessing these educators, God will multiply our effort in blessing the students.
FCA
FCA's mission is to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. Their vision is to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.
Our contributions help to support several local FCA chapters, including at Nevada High School, Nevada Middle School, and Cottey College.
Beacon Christian School
Beacon's mission is to facilitate a Christ-like community that inspires a lifelong love of God and learning, develops academic and spiritual leaders, and cultivates a growth mindset. Their school is built on the philosophy that all children can succeed when given a supportive, structured, Christ-centered environment. They believe that parents are children's first and most important teachers and that without the support of parents, children will not achieve their highest potential. A successful education includes parents, teachers, and children working together.
LifeWalk contributes quarterly to Beacon to aid them in the fulfillment of their mission and ministry.
